📋 Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Manage the complete lifecycle of mining equipment, heavy machinery and company vehicles.

🔹 Maintain accurate asset registers, equipment documentation and fleet records.

🔹 Handle equipment and vehicle insurance, policy renewals, accident/damage claims and coordination with insurance companies.

🔹 Ensure *statutory compliance* , including vehicle registration, road tax, permits, roadworthiness certificates and regulatory requirements.

🔹 Monitor equipment availability, utilisation, maintenance costs, downtime and cost per operating hour/tonne.

🔹 Plan preventive maintenance, equipment replacement, refurbishment and asset disposal.

🔹 Manage fleet CAPEX/OPEX budgets, total cost of ownership (TCO) and repair-versus-replace decisions.

🔹 Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, maintenance teams and insurance providers.

🔹 Monitor equipment performance through SAP PM, Maximo, GPS or fleet telematics systems.

🎯  Candidate Requirements:

✅ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.

✅ 5–10+ years of experience in Fleet Management, Asset Management, Heavy Equipment or Mining Operations.

✅ Previous working experience in Africa is mandatory. Candidates with experience in any African country can apply.

✅ Practical experience in equipment insurance, renewals, claims and statutory compliance.

✅ Strong understanding of mining machinery, heavy equipment and fleet operations.

✅ Experience in equipment budgeting, asset lifecycle management and OEM coordination.

✅ SAP PM / Maximo / Fleet Management Software experience preferred.

✅ French language proficiency will be an added advantage.
